Abstract

Startup companies need to innovate continuously to bring benefits to the company. To keep innovating, new knowledge that supports innovation is created through knowledge creation activities. However, the success factors of the activities that can bring more benefits for innovation creation are yet to be known. Therefore, this research is conducted to identify knowledge creation activities and the critical success factors (CSFs). Knowledge creation activities were identified using SECI framework, then the CSFs were identified using thematic analysis. The data was collected by interviewing the company's product specialist who is familiar with knowledge creation activities in the company. The research resulted in the identification of six socialization activities, six externalization activities, four combination activities, and two internalization activities. These activities have six individual CSFs and four group CSFs.
