Intelligent Street Light Pole Planning Based on LoRa Technology in Depok City

Abstract

Nowdays many cities continue to develop facing the advance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including Depok City, West Java, Indonesia. Depok city is ready for smart regional readiness as the basis for establishing Depok City as a part of The 100 Smart City Movement government program. The application of Intelligent Street Light is one of the features that will be used to Depok Smart Pole. The lighting sensor is designed using the LoRa network by determining the site capacity and the number usage of site gateways. The LoRa network optimization depends on Bandwidth, Spreading Factor (SF), and Coding Rate (CR) parameters. According to these parameters, the results of this research are five site gateways with a radius of 3Km, and receiver sensitivity is ≤-127.0dBm at SF-8.
