Abstract

There is much research on the development of knowledge management system has been done, but the results are stands alone from existing business process in Information System, The problem is the KMS will make an additional burden for the knowledge worker. In this study, we propose a new mechanism to identify knowledge management features were proposed to be integrated into business processes base on e-research in the Indonesian Institute of Sciences(LIPI), Center for Political Studies. The method for this research is mapping the contingency factors by interview and analysis studies. The results provide the conclusion that from seven contingency factors, there are five priorities, Base on this priority, we proposed KMS features to be integrated into the e-research: chatting, forum discussion, and customer helpdesk are integrated into all stage business process, however, article management more precisely integrated at the stage finalization and Issue management at the stage research plan only.
