Abstract

Indonesia's economy will continue to grow for the upcoming years. This rapid growth certainly needs to be maximized accompanied by the development of innovation in the industrial sector. Innovation that broadly covers new products, new services, or new processes, has a big role in creating opportunities for different businesses or services to compete in the global market, thus, there needs to be a way to encourage the industry to innovate. This study aims to enhance accessibility to the public domain patent database, thereby facilitating improved business practices, fostering innovation, and streamlining the research and development process for both the public and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The method used in this research is System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The design process involved the collection of data through expert interviews and a comprehensive review of relevant literature from previous articles. This resulted in information system that consists of databases sourced from multiple countries, complemented by a feature to connect experts and the public users which enables users to seek consultations and receive assistance related to the required patent documents. By increasing the availability of patent information, the system can contribute to a more inclusive and dynamic innovation ecosystem, which benefits society as a whole.
