N2 - Public transportation users have different enthusiasm levels according to the mode of transportation and their personality type, supported by information sources. This study analyzes information-seeking behavior in public transportation with extroverted and introverted personality types. It also investigates the differences in travel modes, sources of information, and travel frequency used by extroverted and introverted students. The research used the quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 361 students who used public transportation in the last six months. The study results show introverted users are more enthusiastic about planning trips than extroverts. The transportation mode most preferred by introverts and extroverts is KRL Commuter Line (KRL); however, introverted users use KRL more frequently than extroverts. Furthermore, the sources of information and payment methods used by introverted and extroverted students are not the choices offered by public transportation providers. Respondents prefer word-of-mouth sources of information and electronic card payment methods. This study includes advice to public transportation providers on developing information strategies based on their users’ personality types.
