title = "Influence of water flow temperature and salinity against specific energy consumption and aquades production with throttling process at power plant",
abstract = "Water is a fundamental need for life in the world and is needed to continue life in the future. In many parts of the world, the control and exploitation of water has built economic development in the world. Although 72% of the earth is filled with water, 97% of it is salty sea water, which is not suitable for applications in the industrial world. To desalinate sea water one must increase sea water temperature until conditions are above the saturation temperature. In this study we used the throttling process method for desalination. Throttling process is one of many method that serves to limit the flow of water which causes a significant decrease in pressure. Based on the simulation, it was found that the thermal efficiency of the power plant increased with the addition of throttling processes. Especially the greater the temperature pinch point inside the condenser, the greater the thermal power efficiency of the power plant. The addition of throttling process can also produce desalinated distilled water that can be applied to power plants. ",
