Abstract

South Halmahera is one of the regencies in North Maluku Province, Indonesia where the potential of agricultural sectors is not accompanied by the income of the local farmers. Therefore, we propose to apply sustainable supply chain management and the fair trade concept for the agricultural products in this district. The results of this research are expected to be applied to solve the issues in the development of economic potential of Papua-Maluku islands and to provide strategic solution for agricultural main program in South Halmahera. This research focused on mapping the fairtrade requirements in comparison with the actual situation in South Halmahera by doing supply chain analysis and analyzing fair trade requirements in order to fulfill the requirements for sustainable supply chain management and fairtrade certification.
