Abstract

Introduction:Implementation of electronic medical records can improve health services in hospitals, including in the emergency unit.However, acceptance, effectiveness and obstacles faced have not been widely published. Objective:The aim of this literature review is to find out how electronic medical records are implemented in the emergency unit. Method:Literature review method by collecting various articles and references that are relevant to the research objectives and questions and using databases, namely Proquest, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Result:The results of the collection and review of various references obtained show the benefits, effectiveness and barriers of impl ementing electronic medical records in the emergency unit. Conclusion:Implementation of electronic medical records in the emergency unit can be maximized by increasing user acceptance, effectiveness and reducing existing barriers so as to improve health services in hospitals.
