Identification of geological structure in Bekasi city using MS-SVD method gravity data

Abstract

Geotechnical study has been conducted through gravity data acquisition in Bekasi City. This study aims to detect the presence of structures in this area using the ms-svd method. The geological structure in this study is fault. The study was carried out by conducting data acquisition in the study area of 362.79 km2. The acquisition was done at 171 measurement stations with a distance between stations is 1 km in northing and 2 km in easting. Data processing is done by making CBA maps and then carried out upward continuation. The SVD method is then carried out on each map of upward continuation. The MS-SVD graph results can show the magnitude and direction of the dip from the fault by looking at the zero value shift on the graph. The results of the MS-SVD method show there are several faults in Bekasi City with their respective characteristics. Three faults are identified in east-west direction and the other younger fault in northwest-southeast direction. The faults have dip angle for more than 60°.
