Abstract
The modern world allows for an increase in the proportion of workers who work in the office. When this tendency continues, exposure to the office environment will greatly affect the health and productivity of workers. Some office workers may feel relieved when they enter a room with air conditioner and stop breathing smoke from outside. Without realizing it, the air they breathe in the office may be more dangerous to their health. The situation in which occupants of the building complain of health and comfort problems that arise when in a building, but the symptoms are not specific and the cause is not identified as Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). When workers' productivity decreases due to SBS, there are other big problems such as decreasing profit and clientsatisfaction in an institution. The hospital as one of the health institutions should be aware that the office environment greatly affects the health of its workers, because in addition to being a vehicle for healing for patients, it is also expected to be able to prevent various health problems that may arise in all workers while in the hospital as their work environment. This research was carried out to reveal the relationship of temperature and humidity with SBS complaints in January 2018 in Private X Hospital in Depok with a sample of 48 administrative staff with a cross sectional method. The results revealed that there was a significant relationship (p-value 0.036 with OR 4.0) between the temperature in the room with SBS complaints on workers. It is hoped that this research will be an input for hospital management to pay more attention to facilities and work comfort in the room. Keywords :Humidity, Hospital, Sick Building Syndrome, TemperatureNia MurniatiLaboratorium Perumahsakitan.
