Abstract
Background: Vaccination is needed to reduce the incidence of COVID-19, especially in vulnerable populations such as pregnant women. Pregnant women usually have lower cravings and higher concerns about vaccines than the general population, this is due to a lack of knowledge about vaccines. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and COVID-19 vaccination status in pregnant women in DKI Jakarta after controlling for other variables (age, occupation, income, education, gestational age, gravida status, comorbidities, and TT immunization experience). Vaccination status was chosen as an open behavioral indicator of vaccination behavior. Methods: The study was conducted quantitatively using a cross-sectional research design on pregnant women who live in DKI Jakarta by distributing questionnaires via google form. This study was followed by 149 respondents who met the inclusion criteria that have been determined. Data analysis using SPSS 22 was univariate in the form of frequency distribution and multivariate analysis was performed using multiple logistic regression risk factor model. Results: From the results of the study, it was found that 98 people 65.8% of pregnant women had been vaccinated and 64 people (65.3%) of them had been fully vaccinated with two doses. Knowledge has a significant relationship with vaccination status (pValue = 0.001). Conclusion: Pregnant women who have low knowledge have a risk of not vaccinating by 7,062 times compared to pregnant women who have high knowledge after controlling for income variables. Increasing knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine can answer the doubts of pregnant women to vaccinate.
