Abstract

This paper describes driving forces of gender equality. We evaluated and compared the effects by (1) sanitation, (2) education, (3) mobile phones, because the three factors are considered to promote women's empowerment. The data we used are data in Indonesia by provinces. The method we used is a machine learning-based regression analysis. From the results we found that the contribution by mobile phones has gradually increased and in 2022 that became the most dominant one. Authentic education is very important for gender equality. In addition, however, we found from the result that the effects by usage of mobile phones is considered to be significant for gender equality.
