Abstract

Facing the COVID-19 pandemic requires solidarity in all aspects of life, both in the state and the smallest unit, namely the family. Family is a strong foundation in dealing with exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Disability families are families with family members with disabilities who have a fairly high vulnerability in dealing with the situation and conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to identify and photograph a picture of the resilience of families with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method uses descriptive research method with a cross sectional approach. In this study, researchers distributed questionnaires to families with disabilities with a Google Form link that used the family resilience instrument used by Sunarti.. The results of this study conclude that families with disabilities who have been married for 11-20 years, education equivalent to high school, with income between 2-4 million, and have sufficient savings for the next 1-2 months; occupy their own house with monthly expenses more than their income and they have debts with unstable jobs. The declining economic situation causes families with disabilities to search for other sources of income independently without as king for help from other families. As for maintaining and maintaining the continuity of their lives, they anticipate by saving food expenditure by buying low-priced food, reducing consumption of types of side dishes and reducing purchases of clothing and recreation. Families with di sabilities during the COVID_19 pandemic experience symptoms of stress with sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, the emergence of feelings of anxiety / restlessness about the child's future and feelings of sadness. They are afraid and worried that their family will be affect ed by the COVID-19 virus, causing the death of their family members, even though they themselves are not afraid of their own death due to COVID-19. The cooperation of all parties is needed to help overcome this condition, between the government, relevant stakeholders, the disability observer community, and the entire community.
