Gambaran Harga Diri Remaja sebagai Prediktor Prestasi Akademik Remaja Panti Asuhan X

Image of adolescent self-esteem as predictor of academik achievement of adolescent of orphanage x. The healthy growth of a teenage is when their parent can fulfil their needs, provide love and communication. But not all teenager can live with their parents and leaving them to the orphanage is one of the solution. These phenomena are founded in orphanage X. The hypotheses on this research is there is a relation between low academic achievement and low self-esteem among the teenagers of orphanage X. The instruments used in this research is state self-esteem measurement, observation and interview. The result of this research shows that the social dimension of their self-esteem is low with mean score 3.4. The observations and the interviews show that their low self-esteem causes the decline of academic achievement by the interactions with their non-orphanage school mates.
