Abstract

Introduction: Infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV 2 virus declared as a global pandemic in March 11 2020 after infected more than 118.000 people in 114 nations only by 3 months. The disease infect anyone no matter what their background and so become an uncontrolable global challenge. Objective: Based on those reasons, researchers are eager to find out the demographic factor (age and gender) of COVID-19 in Cirebon Regency in which Cirebon is a transit city between West Java and Central Java Method: Design used in this research is cross sectional analytic observational with 36.700 sample from the COVID-19 Laboratory Based in Cirebon from January 2022-June 2022 Result: The result shows that age and gender correlated with COVID-19 infection (p value <0,05). Women are more at risk of getting COVID-19 infection (56,7%) and the age are ranging from 26-35 years old (23,7%) Conclusion: Younger population tend to have higher risk to be infected by COVID-19 should always obey the health protocol and vaccine recommendation.
