Fuzzy-PID simulations on Ropeless Elevator performance

Abstract

Linear elevator technology which robust and fast contactless transportation use magnet energy for levitation and thrust is a candidate for modern elevator. Unlike previous elevator, vibration and noise are main disturbance which have to reduce for safety and comfort requirement. This study investigate performance of Ropeless Elevator with Linear Switched Reluctance Motor when the cabin move to other level with a load and obtain another load how its reaction on current, velocity, speed and force simulation result shows that Fuzzy-PID can reduce spike until 25% on current although little ripple still occur on force. For using on varieties of load this system can use but with different controller. This paper presented the comparison of ropeles elevator performance with Fuzzy PID and PI in variations of load and distance. Model simulate with Matlab and the result is use for design a prototype for daily use.
