Abstract

The current trend in vaccine development is using the reverse vaccinology that can develop vaccine in a short time. One key step in this process is to accurately predict the location of the conformational epitope in the antigen. This research is aimed to propose a method for conformational epitope prediction based on Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The proposed method is a modification of existing method, Discotope. This method uses propensity scale and structural property to predict the epitope location. The experiment result shows that the proposed method has a higher accuracy than the previous method that did not use fuzzy system.
