Abstract
Introduction: Nutrition problems in children under five still occur globally, especially in Indonesia. These nutritional problems can have an impact on inhibited growth and development. One of the strategies in overcoming nutritional problems in toddlers is by implementing specific interventions such as Local food-based Supplementary Feeding (PMT). Objective: To see the effectiveness of local food-based supplementary feeding on children weight gain. Method: This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods with cross sectional research. Location in Taktakan Village, Taktakan District, Serang City, Banten. Data analysis used paired T Test with significance p value = 0.05. The data collection technique used secondary data obtained by Dinas Kesehatan Kota Serang. The research sample was 105 people. Result: It was found that the p value of 0.0005 < alpha (0.05), which means that there is a significant difference in the weight of children before and after being given local food-based supplementation feeding for 14 days. Conclusion: Local food-based supplementary feeding in Taktakan Village, Taktakan Subdistrict, Serang City is effective in increasing the weight of children with conditions of children who are not gaining weight/weight faltering, underweight children and malnourished children.
