Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding is an effective way to protect the health of mothers and children and encourage optimal growth and development of children. The Emo Demo method on exclusive breastfeeding using the Behaviour Centered Designed (BCD) approach is a participatory activity guide whose purpose is to convey simple messages with psychological involvement so as to encourage behavior change. Objective: To determine the effect of Emo Demo education on exclusive breastfeeding. Method: This research method is a literature review using the Google Scholar site by entering the keywords: "Emo Demo" and "Exclusive breastfeeding". The articles used were Indonesian and English articles published from 2019-2023. Result: The search for articles using the data base produced 904 articles. After screening, 10 articles were obtained t hat were in accordance with the research objectives. Conclusion: Emo Demo education on exclusive breastfeeding can improve the knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and self-efficacy of pregnant women towards exclusive breastfeeding. Emo Demo education also increases the knowledge and skills of health cadres in providing information and assistance to pregnant women to be able to provide exclusive breastfeeding.
