Abstract

LBW who are hospitalized will get a painful stimulus it can cause stress for the babies. One of the strategies to decrease the stress is developmental care.The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of giving information based on video to improve the knowledge and motivation of nurse in the developmental care in LBW infant. Pre-post test Non Equivalent Control Group Design was used. This study involved 30 nurses, was divided into two group: intervention group (n=15) and control group (n=15) with test different hypotheses 2 independent means. Data analysys used Paired t-test and Independent t-test. There is a significant difference of knowledge and motivation given to the video -based information that is not given video -based information. This research recommended a socialization of developmental care with based on video to other nurse in hospitals.
