Early detection and management of Peri-implant Diseases (Deteksi Dini dan Pennatalaksananan penyakit peri-implan)

Background: As the demand for dental implants has increased, so did the number of complication occour. Many complications happened due to inadequate treatment plan, surgical procedure, incorrect retoration design, incorrect material used, and nfiammation. Peri-implant disease is an inflammatory condition in implant supportive tissue. Periodontist should have the ability to detect the pen-implant diseases so the progressivity of the diseases would be stopped for enhancing the function and esthetic of dental implant Objective: To understand the method to early detect pen-implant diseases and their management itself. Literature Review: Per-implant diseases are classified as pen-implant mucositis and pen-implantitis. Those conditions affected by oral hygiene, local, anatomic, and systemic factors, also the periodontal history The abiity to detect early progression of poni-implant diseases is needed, because management of advanced peri-implant diseases is complex, unpredictable, and surgical treatments might be required. Clinical and radiographic examination must be done for diagnostic procedure. The objectives of treatment in peri-implant diseases are decreasing the pathogen bactenia colonization on implant surfaces and its surrounded tissue, also eliminates the etiologic factors. Planning for surgical or non-surgical procedure are based on the severity of the tissue damage A right management can increase the success rate of the diental implant Conclusion: Early detection of perk-implant disease is the key for implant longevity, so that the progressivity and bissue damaged can be prevented
