E-Livestock: Its definition for indonesia

Abstract

The development of e-Government systems has been proliferated in several countries to support the government service to the public. e-Government specifically appears in various paradigms, such as e-Tax, e-Procurement, e-Voting, etc. Nowadays, it has been proposed a new paradigm in e-Government, called e-Livestock, and become the main concern in this research. There are some developed countries that have implemented such system "like" e-Livestock. The main objective of this research is to get the appropriate definition of e-Livestock in Indonesia. The definition is obtained by studying the experiences form other countries and by considering the current livestock conditions in Indonesia. This research uses the interpretivism and can be included into the qualitative research category. Some of the methods that are used in this research are collecting related documents and interpretation using hermeneutic. The resulted definition can be used as guidelines in further researches that are related to the development of e-Livestock in Indonesia.
