Abstract
The relationship between contractor and subcontractor as their vendor is carried out with mutual benefit or is called a win-win solution [29]. Selection of the vendor shall always be considered by project manager because the vendor can have very positive or very harmful and negative impacts on the general performance of an organization. Identifying important criteria on the vendor selection process using Vendor Safety Management System (VSMS), can minimize unsatisfactory safety performance of the vendor. This study was conducted to identify selection criteria, the rating of each criteria and flow on the selection process using Vendor Safety Management System (VSMS). There are 29 criteria that have been validated by 8 experts which are then followed by AHP analysis to determine the weight of each criterion. The 29 criteria classify into 6 perspectives; (X1) Risk Assessment, (X2) job details, (X3) management commitment, (X4) Verified Documents, (X5) equipment management, (X6) coaching / training for human capital. The proposed model was solved, and some managerial implications were recommended.
