Abstract

ECG as a diagnostic modality to measure the electrical signals from the heart needs to be developed to counter cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) which are the leading cause of death globally. ECG can provide details about heart activities and be combined with an exercise stress test to get other results of a working heart. But, in the conventional ECG, the dislodged attached electrodes or wires can impede the patient’s movement. To answer this question, we made a wireless and wearable ECG vest system that uses simple components and bluetooth transmission. The system can adjust for various sizes and is waterproof so it’s easy to clean after every activity. The electrical circuits are also detachable and safe from shocks or collisions in the box so they will not damage the output. The ECG could be transmitted well in the results even when testing in various activities. All the components needed are also not hard to find on the market at a low cost so this ECG vest system is easy to reproduce.
