N2 - Mobile technologies provide a medium for long-distance communication systems, where the users interact with each other without having to meet physically. Long-distance communication systems, using mobile technologies, are helpful for critical and urgent matters, such as healthcare. Many research works on implementing these systems in healthcare services have been conducted. One of the applications of technology in the healthcare sector is a telehealth monitoring system. The scheme proposes a new way of communication between the doctor and the patient, even in a very remote location. In this presentation, we elaborate on the progress and challenges regarding the development of Tele-ECG and Tele-USG in Indonesia, which includes data acquisition, feature extraction, data compression, classification algorithm, mobile and web development system, and small device implementation on an FPGA board. It could also be a solution for infrastructure discrepancies in healthcare.
