Abstract
Malaria is still a public health problem, especially in endemic area of economically underdeveloped countries where therapy is insufficient. Mortality case caused by malaria infection also high in Papua as highly endemic area in Indonesia. This study aimed to understand the relation among risk factors with the incidence of malaria. We assess 12443 outpatient diagnosed as malaria of Sentani primary health care in Jayapura, Papua. The methods used in this study is descriptive qualitative research by observation as the primary source of data and document review in the annual malariareport 2017 of Sentani Primary Health Care from January to Desember 2017. Our study showed that majority of the patient are between age of 0 until 14 years old (52,1%), male(53,6%), and infected by plasmodium falciparum (59,9%). Considering the research findings, risk factors can serve as determinant to identify the incidence of malaria.
