N2 - Train transportation has come in many ways through outstanding development in design and construction overall this decade. A higher reach in areas is critical to increasing the capacity and distribution of goods. During the decade, there has already been a development of train transportation called Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) in different phases, including phase one was already built in Jakarta. This research proposes a design and analysis of the second phase. The station expands from Thamrin to Ancol at 11.8 km through the fiber optics network to ensure a faster communication speed. The proposed technology uses ITU-T G.652.B as the optical cable and OPT155-3120xxxR as the transceiver. The single-mode optical fiber with zero-dispersion at 1310 nm is a duplex connection with a 155 Mbps data rate and uses an InGaAs pin photodiode as the photodetector. Mathematical computation of BER, rise time budget, and power link budget will be done for each station. The receiving power ranges from -25.58 -27.90 dBm, with the upmost receiver sensitivity of about -34 dBm. Every station's calculation rise time budget has a range between 2.000005 2.0013 ns with the allowable parameter of 4.52 ns. As for BER, the results obtained were 10-12. Therefore, the gathered results of the data rate are adequate. In addition to BER, rise time and power link budgets were also achieved. A detailed estimation of power ranges and receiver sensitivity proved that the parameters were met through the link conditions. The calculation of the design of the technology is based on the ongoing project of MRT. The proposed technology has the potential to develop mass public applications and mainly focus on improving capacity and faster transportation.
