Abstract

This paper proposes a high-gain circular patch antenna (CPA) with electromagnetically coupled and stepped-impedance low pass filter (LPF) which is integrated together in a single substrate for rectenna application. This structure operates at frequency WLAN 2.4 GHz and can achieve antenna gain of 6.88 dB for the single element. Moreover, the higher harmonics can be suppressed by low pass filter, and the output's impedance is 50.65 + j4.64 Ω at frequency 2.44 GHz.
