Abstract

Technology development makes it easier for human life, one of which is reliable multimedia services at home by having an adequate communication infrastructure with a large capacity and high network speed. GPON-based FTTH is a solution to achieve this desire. This paper proposes a design for the deployment of FTTH in ministerial residences of IKN Nusantara. The proposed design calculations show the received power amounted to-23.87 dBm for upstream and-23.76 dBm for downstream, which are higher than the minimum parameter of-28 dBm. The rise time parameter shows 0.2865 ns for the upstream and 0.2871 ns for the downstream, which is also higher than the expected result. From those two main parameters, the proposed design is feasible for further design steps to deployment.
