Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for water application has been actively researched including floated and under water application. This paper reports designing and prototyping for ship detection application using WSN. The ship detection is designed based on hardware and software. The hardware is developed based on Arduino Uno which equips with accelerometer and transceiver module. The software is designed implemented on sensor and fusion center. The ship detection utilizes ship wave spectrum to distinguish from natural wave spectrum. Moreover, we also develop ship location detection based on deployment of four sensors. We can detect and track the ship motion real time.
