Company becomes more concern on the role of information technology (IT) as enabler of business. To enhance its performance, it needs to improve service quality, for example by increasing IT investment. This paper aims to analyze the practice of IT investment governance in XYZ Bank and sees its compliance with Val IT 2.0 in order to improve the current practices. Our findings show that project management to run IT investment initiatives has well established and is capable to help the company to achieve its objectives. Moreover, our analysis also show that almost all practices in the current framework can be mapped into Val IT 2.0. It shows a fact that although XYZ Bank has less awareness on IT investment governance framework, its current practices already meet the criteria of such a good IT investment governance.
