In this research we used simultaneous inversion for characterization sandstones reservoir with target upper and lower Sihapas in Sumatera Tengah basin. Simultaneous inversion is performed by using near angle, mid angle, and far angle from 3D seismic data pre-stack time migration and two wells data as a control. Seismic data has 280 inline and 760 crossline. Before seismic data is changed to angle domain, it's used conditioning data for noise reduction on seismic data and improving signal to noise ratio (S/N), to improve data quality. From three angles will produce parameters P-impedance (Zp) from near angle, S-impedance (Zs) from mid angle, and density (ρ) from far angle respectively. For improvement the reservoir characterization, simultaneous inversion's result parameter can be derivated an equation, that is lambda-mu-rho (LMR). Using LMR method will resulting Mu-Rho model that is sensitive to changes in rock matrix; and lambda rho model can explains fluid contain. The last research for hidrocarbon reservoir, there were sandstones, limestone, and carbonate could good characterized with simultaneous inversion and lambda mu rho methods in few fields. With this two methods in few fields, before that are successfull differentiate rocks lithology and see fluid contain distribution in reservoir, it can be oil, gas, and water. In Central of Sumatera many found oil and gas reservoir zone. It has been proven contains oil and gas although prospect as reservoir zone. With simultaneous inversion and lambda mu rho methods are expected can good reservoir characterization.
