Abstract

Technological development nowadays tends to seamlessly grow, including in digital payment technology. This has brought structural changes in the banking industry, which emerged the industry to change into new digital banking services. These changes also tend to make some impact on cash usage. Cash has been estimated to be replaced by this 'disruption' innovation. Data shows that non-cash payment was increased, but in fact, it followed by the increment of cash demand. Therefore, understanding the behavior of cash usage can be defined as whether cash is still reliable in today's transactions.
