N2 - Since its first emergence in 2015, motorcycle-based e-ride hailing services in Indonesia has become more than a means of transport - it is a phenomenon. Both total user and driver increased significantly in less than five years, especially in the Jakarta area where most of the population commutes. The lack of Indonesia's regulation on motorcycle-based e-ridehailing services is one reason why its growth rate is seemingly uncontrollable until today. Therefore, this study aims to assess the impact of the growing motorcycle-based e-ridehailing services in Jakarta and their environmental effect in CO2 emissions. The assessment also involves some interconnections with other sectors, such as Jakarta's population, economy, travel demand, infrastructure investment, traffic congestion, motorcycle population, and ride-hailing fleet supply. All of the cause-and-effect relationships are then plotted in a form of causal-loop diagram (CLD). The constructed conceptual model is expected to help related authorities in making strategic policy for the long-term. It can also be utilized as a reference for further research in System Dynamics (SD) modeling and any other simulation or analysis scheme.
