Abstract

The non-cash transaction technology is constantly developed from time to time for more efficient transaction, including the development of e-money technology on mobile phone with NFC as the main payment instrument, known as NFC mobile payment. In order to make the entire society participate in using non-cash transaction, NFC mobile payment is chosen as the suitable technology that can reach out to all type of society including the banked and the unbanked community. This research is focused on studying the adoption of NFC mobile payment using UTAUT model within the framework of SEM. The research was conducted in Jabodetabek on both banked and unbanked community. The result showed that there is a significant difference on banked and unbanked people's perception. Those who are considered as banked people think that TCASH is useful and give benefits to their life, while this isn't applied to unbanked people as their tendency to use TCASH is still based on great influence from other parties. Because of this, it's better for Telkomsel to create an innovative strategy to maintain its position in the banked community while also develop a new business strategy that's more suitable for the unbanked community.
