Abstract

Introduction: Pneumonia is still the main cause of mortality and morbidity in children. East Java Province is in first place for the highest number of pneumonia cases under five in Indonesia, namely 74,071 cases in 2021. Objective: This research was conducted to gain knowledge regarding the spread of pneumonia among toddlers in East Java province in 2022 and determine priority areas for handling pneumonia in toddlers in East Java province.. Method: This research is an analytical observational study with an ecological design approach using the Quantum GIS (QGIS) application version 3.22. Result: Mapping cases of pneumonia in toddlers in East Java 2022, there are two areas with a very high number of cases, namely Surabaya City and Sidoarjo Regency. With the highest case fatality rate (CFR) in the Pacitan Regency area of 0.9%. Conclusion: Based on data processing through classification and scoring show that priority area 1 consists of Bangkalan Regency, Sampang Regency, Probolinggo Regency, Surabaya City and Malang Regency.
