Abstract
Kamala Harris made history as the first woman of color to hold the second highest position in the Unites States of America. Elected as vice president, making Harris as a form of hope for women and people of color in America, although there are still several cases of injustice based on race and gender. Therefore, Kamala Harris always addresses issues of social justice in her speeches. This study aims to reveal Kamala Harris strategy that is different from her former in raising social justice issues based on her identity background. This study uses qualitative research methods, with data analysis techniques that evaluate the framework and theoretical context with the results of research on social justice issues contained in Kamala Harris' five speeches. The results obtained show that there are several main ideas of Kamala Harris which are influenced and developed from the legacies of the Civil Rights Movement.
