Abstract
BACKGROUND: The Chronic Venous Insufficiency Quality of Life Questionnaire (CIVIQ-20) is a questionnaire that has been used to assess the quality of life of CVI patients. This study aims to evaluate the use of CIVIQ-20 for CVI patients in Jakarta, Indonesia. METHODS: Patients aged 18-65 years who had CVI. Diagnosis was made by vascular surgery resident doctors according to symptoms and visual examination of the extremities. QOL was assessed with CIVIQ-20 questionnaire. The feasibility, reliability, and validity of CIVIQ-20 was test by IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. RESULTS: This study consisted of 40 participants who completed the CIVIQ-20 questionnaire. The feasibility test obtained an average of 8.19±1.16 minutes with 100% filled results. The reliability test obtained good consistency with an r value of 0.91 using the Cronbach alpha test. The validity test was found to be not optimal with two question items with a validity value of r<0.3. CONCLUSIONS: The CIVIQ-20 questionnaire has good feasibility, good reliability, and non-maximum validity in describing the Quality of Life of patients diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
