Abstract

Introduction: Neuropathic pain is not easily detected due to lack of an ideal screening instrument. Management of neuropathic pain and nociceptic pain are different, nevertheless inadequate management of neuropathic pain will leads to chronic pain that impair quality of life. PainDETECT Questionaire has a high sensitivity and specificity to identify neuropathic pain and already has been translated to various language but not to Indonesian language. Aims: To develop an Indonesian version of painDETECT Questionnaire (PDQ-Ina) that valid and reliable. Methods: Using International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) transcultural validation study followed with feasibility test re-test based on PDQ-Ina guided interview. Results:. In validation study using concept adaptation linguistic and Indonesian cultural, validation team modified the 9 items of questionnaire, particularly in pain course pattern sector to clarify the question's sentences without changing its meaning. Discussion: The Indonesian version of the PDQ-Ina is a valid and reliable scale to be used to determine neurophatic component of chronic pain
