Abstract

This article presents a literature review of dynamic digital twin monitoring for smart city construction. Monitoring technology in construction is fragmented into various aspects and complex phases with different levels of technology adoption. Multiplatform integration will result in a more effective and faster process, maintaining sustainability, affordability, and reliability; therefore, A digital platform ecosystem must be well integrated to optimize data and information management. Dynamic monitoring is an approach used to achieve a holistic process and system. This literature study reviews basic boundaries for developing a digital twin monitoring framework in the building construction industry that can foster smart city development in Indonesia's Nusantara New Capital City (NCC). This study shows that the dynamic approach is the key to the effective integration of the digital monitoring system to provide effective two-way communication between physical and virtual assets, which helps the NCC construction process. This finding offers impact in implementing a fully digital process of smart city development monitoring as well as providing a more advanced and comprehensive decision-making generation process for stakeholders.
