Abstract

The e-waste collected by its user is one of the significant developments that can help to reduce the uncontrolled e-waste collection. In order to raise consumer awareness on E-waste management, it must be planned well to balance the growth of e-waste collected, and the cost invested. A good strategy is needed, with the Ministry of Environmental and Forestry as a part of the Government to engage and increase the awareness of electronic users with the help of e-waste management organizations that aware of e-waste problems. The complexity of the e-waste management system added challenges to address the problems. This paper aims to explore policy alternatives that could influence consumer awareness in e-waste management in Indonesia. This conceptual model will draw the policy structure exploration with the system dynamics modeling approach to give an understanding of the relations and dynamics between the factors in the e-waste management system in Indonesia.
